Hey there! I am an American (of Chinese heritage) who is an avid fan of Chinese novels and Chinese dramas. 

I first started this blog to post translations of the novel to the popular drama, Nirvana in Fire. I started translating Nirvana in Fire after joining WKI, where I discovered my enjoyment of translating different articles. Nirvana in Fire is actually my first ever large-scale translation project, and being an ABC means that my Chinese is far from perfect. Thankfully, most readers of my work seem to understand that and are still very encouraging and supportive! It has been an amazing process, and I always try my best to do thorough research and convey meaning as accurately as possible.

  2. After an accident, I couldn’t leave my house for 2 months. I started watching Chinese Historical Dramas like, Legend of HaoLan, Nothing Gold Can Stay, and Yanxi Palace, and was HOOKED!
    Then “Eternal Love / 10 Miles of Peach Blossoms” entered my life- Love everything about it- Fabulous Music and, thanks to you, wonderful Lyrics. Gorgeous women, Handsome men, settings, costumes, story and hair styles….. what’s not to love!
    PS- Though I am a Grandmother with more years behind me than ahead of me, this romantic drama has grabbed my heart.

    PPS- I’m starting to learn Chinese (at age 69) and would like to have the Pinyin Lyrics so I can sing along! Have any friends who can translate into Pinyin?
